This center provides clinical positron emission tomography (PET) services using a Siemens HR+ (to be upgraded to a 16-slice GE ST PET-CT on April 1, 2004). It will provide FDG-PET for rodents when the GE/Suinsa double ring micro-PET is installed in June 2004. A cyclotron is present onsite for short-lived isotopes such as C-11 (for neuroscience studies) and N-13 ammonia (for cardiac perfusion studies).

This resource consists of a DeltaVision inverted microscope with temperature and carbon dioxide control for long-term time-lapse multichannel analysis. Its primary focus is on dissociated cell or cell culture fluorescent imaging. There is also an Olympus upright confocal microscope with two channel multiphoton addition, temperature and carbon dioxide controls for long-term time-lapse analysis. Its primary focus is on live thick-tissue sections using fluorescent imaging.
